Following on from the success of the New Year Reset series earlier this year Rob Locke (Kite Dearg Yoga) and Sally McRae (One Creative Choice) are excited to offer a Midsummer Yoga Workshop.

As is traditional at this time of year we will practice sun salutations, though not the usual 108. The guided asana (physical) practice will incorporate postures that build heat and are believed to purify. This workshop will be accessible for all, options will be given to modify poses as required. We will also practice pranayama (breathing technique), and a short meditation which gives us the chance to pause, to be still, and perhaps allow some light to shine upon the shadows.

Both Sally and Rob offer group and private yoga classes in Inverness and are excited to be working together again, offering something different for their students, and newcomers alike.

“all are welcome, together we’ll dive-deep and
create space for that which sets us alight!”

Registration is essential, there will be no space for drop-ins.

Sally first encountered yoga as a pre-teen at an ashram in the UK. In adulthood yoga was to form part of her warm-up routine before rehearsals and performances, when entering the corporate world it provided essential grounding. Whilst living in the southern United States she seized the opportunity to immerse herself fully and train with Graham Fowler; she subsequently went on to mentor students as they undertook their extensive training.

Sally loves to teach beginners and finds joy in their growth. There is always humour in her teaching; her gentle encouragement allows students to soften and witness, to reflect not just upon the yoga on the mat but how it shows up for us in the world.
Rob runs his own small yoga teaching practice based in Inverness. He has been a yogi for 9 years and approaches his teaching from a sensitive, inclusive and thoughtful perspective. His training and approach are from a definite Buddhist background with an emphasis on mindfulness, breathing and the body’s natural energy. Beyond yoga, Rob leads a small local health charity.
